about
The first impulse I had to write the song „Prútené'' (wicker) was inspired by the book „Prútené Kreslá'' (wicker chairs) by Dominik Tatarka, combined with my own travelling experiences abroad. During my travels abroad, I always feel a certain restlessness and an essential longing for home. For me, the ''wicker chairs'' represent an object of peace and a time to think about where I come from and where I belong to. This theme is all the more powerful for me today, in times when we see how freedom can be violated, homes can be taken away and the peace is disturbed. Therefore, I consider it very important to know where I come from and where I have my roots. Studying history, knowing national artists and appreciating the minority whose art contributed to the development of our culture.''Wicker chairs" are everywhere in the world - those pleasant chairs, where we can contemplate, remember and indulge in our own thoughts.
